Budleigh Farm is 12 minutes from Taunton, 8
minutes from the M5 Wellington turn-off
(Junction 26) and 15 minutes from the A303.
BY ROAD
From Taunton
Starting from the War Memorial in the centre of
Taunton, proceed towards Corporation Street with
Jaegar & phone shops on right and Market House
on left. At the end of Corporation Street bear
left at the first mini-round-about and go
straight across the one immediately after. After
50 yards, the road joins another. Proceed in the
middle lane following the signs to TRULL. At the
second junction bear right and then left
following signs to TRULL & BLAGDON.
Continue out of Taunton, across the first
mini-round-about and continuing for 2.2 miles,
past Queens College on your right, until you
reach the village of Trull. Just past an old
garage on your left, TURN RIGHT into DIPFORD
ROAD, sign-posted Comytrowe and Angersleigh.
Carry on for a further 1.7miles, going under the
M5 motorway. Take the first RIGHT TURN
sign-posted West Buckland.
Continue for a mile along this lane which runs
parallel to the motorway, to a T Junction and
TURN LEFT towards CHELMSINE & RUGGIN. After a
further 0.75mile, at the top of the hill, you
will reach the Budleigh hamlet. Budleigh Farm is
the cream-coloured house on the right. Park
either on the lane or in the wood-chip covered
car park opposite the house.
From the M5 - Wellington Junction 26
At the junction take the exit for BLACKMOOR &
RUGGIN and at the T junction immediately after
this, TURN LEFT towards RUGGIN, PITMINSTER &
CORFE. Continue for 0.5mile and turn left
signposted to RUGGIN. After 0.6mile you will
come to a staggered junction with Thomas Bros
Joinery on the right. Go straight across,
signposted as above, and continue for 1.3 miles
up the hill to a T junction. Here TURN LEFT
sign-posted TRULL & TAUNTON. After passing a
bungalow with cattle grid on the right you will
come to the hamlet of Budleigh. Budleigh Farm is
the cream-coloured house on the left. Park
either on the lane or in the wood-chip covered
car park opposite the house.
From West Buckland
With the Village Shop on your left, leave the
village heading South, cross the M5 and
immediately after take the LEFT-HAND TURN to
RUGGIN, PITMINSTER & CORFE. After 1.3 miles, you
will reach a T Junction with a postbox in the
wall ahead of you. TURN LEFT, continue up the
hill for half a mile to another T Junction, TURN
LEFT again to TRULL & TAUNTON. After passing a
bungalow with cattle grid on the right you will
come to the hamlet of Budleigh. Budleigh Farm is
the cream-coloured house on the left. Park
either on the lane or in the wood-chip covered
car park opposite the house.
From the A303
If you are travelling west-bound on A303,
4.5miles after Ilminster, you will see the Eagle
Tavern on your right. TURN RIGHT here towards
BUCKLAND ST MARY and continue for 4.6miles until
you reach the B3170. You are now in The
Blackdown Hills. Go straight across the B3170
towards Wellington and Churchingford. Continue
for 0.5 mile to a T junction and TURN RIGHT
towards Wellington passing the Holman Clavel pub
on your left.
After 0.5mile you will reach another crossroads:
go straight across, continuing towards
Wellington. After 2.8miles TURN RIGHT towards
Angersleigh, just before the Merry Harriers pub
on your left.
Proceed down hill through beech woods for
0.5mile when you should take an unsigned LEFT
TURN onto a smaller lane going steeply down
through the woods. Proceed for 0.7mile, ignoring
a right-hand and left-hand turn. After passing a
bungalow with cattle grid on the right you will
come to the hamlet of Budleigh. Budleigh Farm is
the cream-coloured house on the left. Park
either on the lane or in the wood-chip covered
car park opposite the house.
BY TRAIN
Budleigh is 15 minutes from TAUNTON mainline
station, which has direct services to London,
Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Edinburgh, Exeter,
Plymouth, Penzance, Birmingham, Derby, York,
Cheltenham, Manchester, Leeds.
Taxis can be booked for collection from the
station or there is a taxi rank next to the
west-bound platform. The journey costs between
£20 – 25. Confirm the fee with the driver or the
taxi office before you book.
